MOTORCYCLE TRAILER FACTS: VERTICAL SUPPORT BEAMS |

![]() |
Many years ago a very wise old friend told me that you get what you INSPECT not EXPECT! In view of the above and the need to educate myself on the integrity of the inner wall structure, I was compelled to open up the walls and document my findings. You will note that the area I photographed was 8' in length, with 6 vertical support beams showing. This is 96" and when divided by 6, it is found that there is a vertical support beam every 16". Some beams were 1" square channel, some were traditional "I" beams, then there were T beams, etc. One thing is for sure, Forest River has taken every precaution to strengthen exterior wall panels. The larger beams receive fasteners and the smaller, in between beams are cemented by a very rugged, life long industrial bond. |
