TRAILER FACTS: STABILIZER JACKS |

Rear
mounted stabilizer jacks will enable you to load and unload heavy cargo
in your motorcycle trailer without always being hooked up to your vehicle.
These are referred to as fold down, drop down jacks that are adjustable
and will allow you to drive a motorcycle or other heavy object up the
ramp, without the front of the trailer lifting off the ground, when not
connected to a vehicle. These jacks are very handy when changing a tire, working on the trailer, or leveling the trailer, while at an off road function. Simply lower the front dolly, as far down as it will go. This in turn will raise the rear of the trailer up. After lowering the front of the trailer to its lowest level, let down the fold down, drop down jacks, so that they touch the ground. Then begin to raise the dolly jack up again, so that the front of the trailer begins to rise upward. You will note that the both wheels will lift off the ground, thus precluding any need for a jack. The additional cost factor for these jacks is $35.00. These are automatically included and installed on every high line trailer. If you are taking your motorcycles or valuable cargo on a trip and worry about theft, simply jack your trailer up, remove the wheels and take them in the motel room for the night. Lack of stabilizer jacks are the seventh reason why some trailers are less costly than others. |
